Healing mind and body through connection

Hi, I’m Courtney,

I’m so glad you’re here. I am a queer Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Trauma Sensitive Yoga Facilitator who specializes in embodiment therapy—healing through connecting mind and body. Whether you’re looking for a spin on traditional talk therapy or are eager to work towards healing without much talking at all, you’ve come to the right place.

“Oh how liberating it is to pursue wholeness over perfection.” -Morgan Harper Nichols

Engage in Intensive Therapy

I see clients in person in my office in Santa Cruz and virtually for Intensive Work. This work involves multiple hours at a time of intensive somatic work that can jumpstart your healing journey.

Engage in weekly Individual Therapy

I see clients in person at my practice in Santa Cruz, California for weekly therapy. In sessions, I utilize a variety of somatic modalities including EMDR and Parts Work. Through our work together, I will help you learn more about yourself and build a stronger connection between your body and mind, all while healing the wounds that may have disrupted this connection in the first place.

My values as they pertain to my work

  • Unconditional acceptance. As Carl Rogers is often quoted, “the curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” I promise to accept you exactly as you are from the moment we begin our work together.

  • Sharing power. Your voice matters to me. Your boundaries matter to me. You will always have final say over the techniques and interventions we use.

  • Co-regulation. I will stay regulated so you can be dysregulated.

  • Authentic relationships. Trauma often happens in relationship, thus, healing also happens in relationship. I strive to create a safe, healthy relationship within which you can heal.

  • Humor. Sometimes we need to lighten the mood :)
